Podcast Episode 117 - Go from feeling insecure to secure with these four steps

Insecurity holds us back and makes us feel anxious, uncomfortable and stressed out.
We can’t be ourselves when we’re insecure, and it keeps us hiding and stops us from being our authentic selves.
Here are four steps to go from feeling insecure to secure:
1. See It
You have to see the insecurity. And if you can see it in real-time, even better.
2. Own It
You must own your part of the insecurity. You have to be willing to own it so you can fix it.
3. Root It
Get to the root and dig it up.
Most of our insecurities came from our childhood. Discover where it came from. Expose it for what it is, and then you can dig it up.
Like weeds, if you pull them at the root, you can get rid of them. If you just pluck off the part you can see, it comes back with a vengeance.
4. Replace It
What is the truth about yourself or the situation? Replace the insecurity with the truth.
And keep pulling up the root and replacing it with the truth until you believe it. When you do that, you’re pulling out the insecurity and replacing it with security in who God’s called you to be.
